My name is Noah Cohen. I was a student social worker this past year at Melabev and will IyH be finishing my MSW this summer.
Dvora Marcus, my MSW supervisor at Melabev, recommended emailing you and seeing if there are job opportunities for the coming year at Hakshiva.
I learned in Yeshiva University’s Gruss Kollel over the past 4 years while getting my MSW. I have worked with children, teens, and families as well as with individuals with dementia over my two years of fieldwork in Israel.
From what I have heard about Hakshiva, it seems like a great place to continue my work and further my professional learning.
Please let me know if there is anything available for the upcoming year. I look forward to being in touch.
I cannot attach my Resume to this comment, but I can send it over by email.
I wanted to let you know that Devorah Schendler and I will be running an adolescent girls DBT group in RBS after the chaggim through Machon Dvir.
As you may be aware, Machon Dvir is one of the primary clinics offering Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in English in Israel. DBT involves learning practical skills for controlling emotional behavior in order to manage life more effectively. This evidence-based approach has been shown to be helpful for anyone who struggles to control their emotions or who is prone to anxiety or depression, impulsive, addictive and self-harming behaviors, and dysregulated eating. We have a website with more information about this: http://www.machondvir.org
Do you think that Hakshiva has any clients who may be interested in joining this group? If so, we would be happy to confer with your counselors, in complete confidence, and work alongside them to deliver an integrated treatment plan.
Please feel free to pass on this information on to anyone you think might be interested.
Best wishes and wishing you all a happy, healthy and productive year ahead-
